Seniors Telephone Reassurance Program

The Cullman County Sheriff's Office offers the Seniors Telephone Reassurance program as a free service to all senior citizens within Cullman County who lives alone, may have serious medical problems, or to those who have no close relatives. Citizen Volunteers call each senior client each day to determine if they are OK. If contact cannot be made with the senior client, then a Deputy is dispatched to the senior client's residence to check on their welfare. Citizen Volunteers place approximately 3,636 calls to our senior clients during 2004. Inquires as to how a senior loved one may be added to the call list may be directed to Lt. David J. Sandlin at 256-734-0342 or by email at dsandlin@cullmansheriff.org.
