As part of his transition into office, newly installed Cullman County Sheriff Mike Rainey today announced the launch of a new web site for the Sheriff's Office.

"As Sheriff, my goal is for our office to be in constant communication with the people of Cullman County. An essential part of my plan to foster that communication is through our new web site. By utilizing new technology, we can deliver updated information to the public in an effective and cost efficient manner."

Rainey hopes the new web site, which utilizes a content management system rather than general html, will serve as a portal of information for all who visit the site. "We plan on updating and adding to the web site on a constant basis, so that the citizens of Cullman County who visit the site regularly can keep in touch with us and learn about what their Sheriff's Office is doing," Rainey concluded.

Sheriff Rainey was elected Sheriff of Cullman County in November 2010 on a platform which espoused open communication, a crack down on illegal drugs and higher visibility of officers. Sheriff Rainey officially took office in January 2011.
