CRIMENET stands for "Crime Reduction Initiatives-Mission Enhancements that necessitates our Enforcement Targets".  What this means, is that we are continuing the effort to be proactive.   Law Enforcement of yesteryear was reactive; times have changed and we are changing as well. Under this program, Patrol supervisors look daily at ways to improve our performance and devise plans to counteract illegal activity.   Our implementation of the
   Safe Streets Act is just one of the solutions adopted to battle the onslaught of criminal activity.  The Watch Cards we place on business after hours, the False Alarm cards we leave on alarm calls and enhanced sex offender tracking are all products of CRIMENET initiatives.   Our Patrol Division has also become far more diligent in tracking down leads on criminal cases as they occur.  This has reduced the amount of cases forwarded to Investigators who already have case loads in the high hundreds. CRIMENET is also designed to increase our contact within the community, so that we may gain an increased understand of your needs for our services.
   You are our reason for being here, while we can't be all things to all people, you deserve our best and we feel it is our job to give you that.
