Many of the "Where is" and "How do I" question get answered by two ladies who man the front desk of our office, which is a great place to start if you unsure of where to go first. In law enforcement, it is often stated that if it is not in writing, it didn't happen. The office that maintains most of our written documents is the Records Section. All executions, subpoenas, civil process papers, arrest warrants, writs, attachments and files on newly released sex offenders are maintained in our records section. They also provide fingerprinting services for those who are required to submit fingerprints as part of a job application. Two deputies are assigned exclusively to serve court papers to the public at large. Lt. David Sandlin heads up this division as well as handling pistol permit applications and the planning of extraditions back to the state.

Project Lifesaver International (PLI) helps provide rapid
response to save lives and reduce potential for serious injury for
adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down
Syndrome, dementia and other related disorders. PLI provides equipment,
training, certification and support to law enforcement, public safety
organizations and community groups which operate the Project Lifesaver
program in their communities. PLI has over 1,000 participating agencies
across the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and has performed over 1,900
searches in the last 10 years with a 100% success rate.
